Whoever has ears let them hear💫

🌿 Memory Verse ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time, I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn." ~Matthew 13:29–30 (NIV) Jesus told a parable about a man who went out and sowed good seed in his field. Everything began well, but while everyone was asleep, an enemy came and secretly sowed weeds among the wheat before leaving. As time passed, both the wheat and the weeds began to grow together. When the servants noticed the weeds, they were surprised and asked their master, "Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?" The master replied, "An enemy did this." The servants immediately offered to pull up the weeds, but the master stopped them. He knew that removing the weeds too early could also uproot the wheat growi...

The Hidden Idols of the Heart

🌿 Memory Verse :  "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." ~ Matthew 6:21 Today's blog post was inspired by a Bible study discussion we had on Sunday evening. Every Sunday after church, we gather together to study God's Word, share our thoughts, ask questions, and learn from one another. It is one of my favorite parts of the week because everyone has the opportunity to contribute, be corrected, and grow in their understanding of Scripture. During our discussion, we studied Mark 10:17-27, the story of the rich young ruler. As we discussed the passage, a question arose that completely altered my perspective on the text. It made me realize that idolatry is not always as obvious as a carved image or a golden statue. Sometimes the greatest idols are the ones hidden deep within our hearts. The rich young ruler approached Jesus and asked what he must do to inherit eternal life. Before anything else, he addressed Jesus as "Good Teacher." Jesus res...

A Humble Heart: Lessons from Abigail💖

🌿   Memory Verse :  “ When Abigail saw David, she quickly got off the donkey and bowed down before David with her face to the ground.” ~ 1 Samuel 25:23 During this period, David was fleeing from Saul, who was seeking to kill him out of jealousy and fear. David and his men wandered through the wilderness, moving from place to place in search of safety and provision. In the region of Maon lived a wealthy man named Nabal. Scripture describes him as very rich, owning thousands of sheep and goats. Nabal was a man who truly lived up to his name, for the name “Nabal” means foolish. Though he had great wealth, his character was harsh, selfish, and rude. He was the kind of man who always wanted to receive but never wanted to give back, even to those who had shown him kindness. In many ways, he was the complete opposite of his wife, Abigail, who was known for being intelligent, discerning, and humble. While David and his men stayed nearby, they protected Nabal’s shepherds and livesto...

Overwhelmed? Be still💫

Memory Verse 💨 “ Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” ~ Matthew 11:28 Life can get really overwhelming sometimes. Everything happens so fast. One moment you are trying to rest, and the next moment you are worrying about school, work, responsibilities, friendships, relationships, the future, and so many other things all at once. Especially for us as students or working individuals, life can become very exhausting mentally and emotionally. Sometimes you are not even physically tired; your mind is just tired. And honestly, I think a lot of people are currently feeling this way in this season as well. But one scripture that keeps me going is when Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Jesus is the true source of rest and peace, not the temporary comfort we try to find in the world, in people, or in distractions. I think in moments like these, we should learn to slow down and be still before God...

The best gift the world received💖

Image
🌿  Memory Verse:  “ If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  ” ~ Romans 10:9 ✨ Introduction Before we talk about the gift, we need to understand why it was necessary. A lot of us go through life thinking everything is fine. We look okay, we feel okay, and from the outside, nothing seems wrong. But sometimes, what is happening internally is a completely different story. 🩺 Doctor Analogy Imagine going to the hospital for a routine checkup. The doctor runs some tests and scans, and everything seems normal at first glance. You feel fine, you look healthy, and nothing about you suggests that something is wrong. However, the doctor then examines your results closely and notices something serious. Let’s say it’s a disease like cancer. Now imagine the doctor simply tells you, “You are sick,” without showing you any proof. You probably wouldn’t believe it. After all, you feel fine. But if t...

For Such a Time as This👑

🌿  Memory Verse:  “ And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this? ”~ Esther 4:14 Introduction💨 There are moments in life where we may not fully understand why we are where we are. The position we hold, the people around us, and the doors that opened may all seem random, but in God’s plan, nothing is accidental. Sometimes, we are placed in certain positions not just for ourselves, but for a greater purpose that will reveal itself in time.  The Backstory 📖 Reference: 1 Samuel 15 Before the story of Esther, there was a moment in history that seemed unrelated, yet deeply connected. God commanded King Saul to completely destroy the Amalekites. Saul obeyed partially. He spared King Agag and retained some things for himself, despite God having given clear instructions. Although the battle was won, the assignment was not fully completed. What seemed like a small act of disobedience would later echo in a ...

Ready or Return: Before the door closes💫

Image
🌿  Memory Verse “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in… ~ Revelation 3:20 ✨This is a two-in-one reflection on two well-known parables—stories we have heard many times but may not have fully understood. One speaks about being ready. The other speaks about returning. As you read, take your time to reflect and also go back to the Scriptures yourself. There is always more depth when you encounter the Word personally. 🕯️ Parable 1: The Ten Virgins 📖 Reference: Matthew 25:1–13 (Take time to read it fully for yourself to gain a deeper understanding.) 🔹 Summary Jesus tells a story about ten virgins who were waiting for the bridegroom to arrive. Five of them were wise and brought extra oil for their lamps, while the other five were foolish and did not prepare well. As the bridegroom delayed, they all became tired and fell asleep. Then at midnight, there was a sudden cry announcing that the bridegroom had come. Everyone wok...
