Wars, conflicts, famine, earthquakes, and global unrest are happening before our very eyes, even though these things once seemed distant or unlikely. Jesus warned His followers in Matthew 24 that before His return, there would be wars, rumors of wars, famines, and earthquakes in various places. He told us to watch and be ready, because we cannot know the exact hour. Looking at today’s world, it is clear that we are living in the last days. The coming of Christ is not a distant story; it is a reality that will happen. For those of us watching, praying, and believing, there is hope and purpose in being alert.
