When Shame Keeps You from God😣
🌿 Memory Verse: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." ~ 1 John 1:9 One of the greatest lies the enemy tells us after we sin is that we are too far gone to come back to God. He wants us to dwell in shame until we begin to hide from the very One who can restore us. But Scripture paints a different picture. Proverbs 24:16 says, "For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again." Notice that the verse does not say the righteous never fall. It acknowledges that even those who love God will stumble. The difference is that they do not remain on the ground. They get back up, not because they are strong, but because God's grace is greater than their failures. If you have sinned, don't let shame convince you to stay away from God.
