Silent Storm๐ŸŒง️✨

๐ŸŒฟ Memory Verse ๐Ÿ•Š️ “Be still, and know that I am God.”  ~  Psalm 46:10 (NIV) Be still, my soul; the Lord is on your side. Even in the storm’s silence, His peace speaks louder than the noise.   This week has felt like walking through a storm that no one else could see. You know those days when you smile on the outside, but inside, everything feels heavy and uncertain? That’s what I call a silent storm   which  is the kind that rages quietly in your heart while the world keeps moving. But silent storms look different for everyone. For one person, it could be an addiction they’re fighting in secret. For another, it might be a battle with unforgiveness, a struggle to let go of the past, or the constant war between pride and humility. Someone else’s storm might be loneliness , anxiety, or a habit they can’t seem to break no matter how hard they try. We all face storms that no one hears—yet God sees them all. Sometimes, He doesn’t calm the waves right away...

The Three T’s ✝️๐Ÿ•Š️

Hey family! Here we go again. It’s Saturday, and I’m back with another blog post. Honestly, I didn’t even know what to write about this week. I’ve been praying and asking the Holy Spirit to just drop something in my heart. And you know what? He did. ๐Ÿ’— This week has been one of those Three T weeks, full of Temptations, Trials, and Tribulations . ๐Ÿ˜… I know we all go through those seasons when life feels heavy, confusing, or just plain hard. But even in all that, God still has a message for us. Before we dive in, let’s start with our memory verse:  Memory Verse:   “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”  ~ James 1:12 (NKJV) ๐Ÿ’ง Temptations Let’s be honest. Temptations are part of our daily walk. Even Jesus Himself was tempted in the wilderness, so none of us are exempt. Temptation itself isn’t the sin; giving in to it is. But even when we stu...

The Fruits of The Spirit ✨๐ŸŒฟ

Memory Verse: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” ~ Galatians 5:22–23 (NIV)  We live in a world where envy, hatred, selfishness, and all sorts of negative attitudes seem to be growing like weeds. Everywhere you turn, you see people giving in to anger, jealousy, and even pride as if it’s something normal. Before this verse in Galatians, Paul actually described these things as the works of the flesh — the complete opposite of what the Holy Spirit wants to produce in us. Now, when Paul mentions “the fruit of the Spirit,” he isn’t talking about mangoes, pineapples, or bananas (though we love those too!). These aren’t physical fruits you can pick from a tree. Instead, they’re spiritual fruits — godly qualities that grow within us as we walk closely with the Holy Spirit. Each of these fruits reflects the nature of God Himself. They show what happens when we l...

๐ŸŒธ Welcome to Grace Notes

Image
Hi, welcome to Grace Notes! My name is Maliyah , and I’m so excited to finally share this space with you. Grace Notes was born out of a simple desire to express my heart and faith through words. For a long time, I’ve wanted a place where I could write freely about what God is teaching me — the quiet lessons, the gentle reminders, and the moments that reveal His love and presence in daily life. This blog is a reflection of my journey with Christ. Some days are bright and full of joy, and others are slower, filled with learning, waiting, and trusting. Through it all, I’ve seen how His grace continues to hold me together. My hope is that when you visit this blog, you’ll find encouragement, peace, and maybe even a word that reminds you that God is closer than you think. Whether you’re reading during a quiet morning, a busy day, or a late night of reflection, I pray that Grace Notes becomes a gentle reminder that grace is not just a word — it’s a way of life. Thank you for being here. I’...
