We think about school, work, money, relationships, the future, and everything else that comes with life. Even when it comes to our Christian walk, we can become consumed with church activities, ministry, serving, conferences, and Christian content. None of these things are necessarily wrong; in fact, many of them are important, but sometimes, in the middle of doing everything else, we forget to actually sit down and study the very Book our faith is built upon. We can know how to pray. We can know how to serve in church. We can know how to sing worship songs and quote popular Bible verses. We can even know how to call ourselves Christians. Imagine spending your entire life in a place that is familiar to you. Your family, your home, your surroundings, and everything you have ever known are there. Then one day, God tells you to leave it all behind and go to a land that He will show you. That is exactly what God asked Abraham to do.  In Genesis 12:1 , God said to him, "Go from your country, your people, and your father's household to the land I will show you." God did not give Abraham the entire plan. He simply told him to go. And Abraham went. He had to leave what was familiar and step into something he had never seen before. He had to give up his sense of security and trust that God's plan was superior to what he was leaving behind, and this makes me think abo...

🌿  Memory Verse : " But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse. " ~ Galatians 1:8 (NIV) The word "gospel" simply means "good news." But what exactly is this good news? The gospel is the message that God, in His great love for humanity, sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save sinners. Jesus lived the perfect life that we could never live, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and on the third day He rose again, defeating sin and death. Through Him, everyone who repents and places their faith in Christ receives forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and the gift of eternal life. Paul summarizes the gospel beautifully in 1 Corinthians 15:3–4: "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." 🌿 Memory Verse:  "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."  ~ 1 John 1:9 One of the greatest lies the enemy tells us after we sin is that we are too far gone to come back to God. He wants us to dwell in shame until we begin to hide from the very One who can restore us. But Scripture paints a different picture. Proverbs 24:16 says, "For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again." Notice that the verse does not say the righteous never fall. It acknowledges that even those who love God will stumble. The difference is that they do not remain on the ground. They get back up, not because they are strong, but because God's grace is greater than their failures. If you have sinned, don't let shame convince you to stay away from God. Run to Him, confess your sin, receive His forgiveness, and allow Him to restore you. The Father is not waiting to reject you; He is inviting you ...

Every Sunday after church, we gather together to study God's Word, share our thoughts, ask questions, and learn from one another. It is one of my favorite parts of the week because everyone has the opportunity to contribute, be corrected, and grow in their understanding of Scripture. During our discussion, we studied Mark 10:17-27, the story of the rich young ruler. As we discussed the passage, a question arose that completely altered my perspective on the text. It made me realize that idolatry is not always as obvious as a carved image or a golden statue. Sometimes the greatest idols are the ones hidden deep within our hearts. David and his men wandered through the wilderness, moving from place to place in search of safety and provision. In the region of Maon lived a wealthy man named Nabal. Scripture describes him as very rich, owning thousands of sheep and goats. Nabal was a man who truly lived up to his name, for the name “Nabal” means foolish. Though he had great wealth, his character was harsh, selfish, and rude. He was the kind of man who always wanted to receive but never wanted to give back, even to those who had shown him kindness. In many ways, he was the complete opposite of his wife, Abigail, who was known for being intelligent, discerning, and humble.  Memory Verse 💨 “ Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” ~ Matthew 11:28 Life can get really overwhelming sometimes. Everything happens so fast. One moment you are trying to rest, and the next moment you are worrying about school, work, responsibilities, friendships, relationships, the future, and so many other things all at once. Especially for us as students or working individuals, life can become very exhausting mentally and emotionally. Sometimes you are not even physically tired; your mind is just tired. And honestly, I think a lot of people are currently feeling this way in this season as well. But one scripture that keeps me going is when Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Jesus is the true source of rest and peace, not the temporary comfort we try to find in the world, in people, or in distractions. Introduction💨 "Conviction" and "judgment" are two words that sound similar, but they feel very different. Many times we confuse one for the other. Sometimes, we say, "Don't judge me," when in reality, the Holy Spirit is convicting us. Other times, people speak harshly and call it "correction," when it is actually condemnation. Conviction comes from God. Judgment, when done wrongly, often comes from pride . The Holy spirit convicts not us to shame us, but to restore us. He points out sin not to destroy us, but to draw us closer to Christ. Conviction produces repentance and peace. We plan our lives here, build dreams here, and get comfortable here. Yet Jesus reminded us that this world is not our final stop. He said He is preparing a place for us. That means there is more beyond this life, something eternal, something perfect, something with Him. Heaven is not just a story or a hope to comfort ourselves. It is a promise from Jesus. The Bible describes heaven as a place where there is no more pain, no tears, no sorrow, and no death.  A place where sin cannot enter and where God's presence fills everything. Imagine a place with no heartbreak, no fear, no disappointment, and no goodbyes. That is the kind of eternity God is preparing.
